PlayerSells indexes 18,486,455 X accounts. Measured on 24 August 2026 across a 45,308-account sample of that index, the median account has 550 followers, 2,046 is the 75th percentile, 7,085 the 90th and 89,454 the top 1 percent. 92.5% of that index sits below 10,000 followers, which is the stretch of the curve where our rate card prices a follower highest.
Followers are priced on a falling scale rather than a flat rate: the first 1,000 at $0.05 each, the next 9,000 at $0.035, down to $0.006 above 5 million. Run the 90th-percentile account from our index - 7,085 followers - through the same function this calculator calls and the audience alone is worth $263 before any multiplier touches it. Those rates are our model’s assumptions, anchored to PlayerSells sale prices; they are not a measurement of what X accounts trade for elsewhere.
The base is then moved by five multipliers - engagement against a size-adjusted benchmark, account age, authority from the following-to-follower ratio and verification, posting activity, and profile completeness - and the result is printed as a range from 75% to 135% of the point estimate. The result card names each multiplier and what it contributed, because an estimate you cannot argue with is not worth much.
Follower distribution measured on 24 August 2026 over a 45,308-account sample of the 18,486,455-account PlayerSells X index. Dollar figures are our model’s parameters applied to that distribution, not observed sale prices for any individual account.
